Shobbrook Vino Rose 2010

Since first tasting Tom's wine I fell in love with them, resulting in me asking him to help me make my Chardonnay.   Tom crafts all of his wines with care and minimal intervention.  He intervenes in the vineyard when it is necessary to produce top quality grapes then he lets the wine ferment wildly in his winery. Read the notes ahead bearing in mind that we have a relationship between us.

Shobbrook Vino Rose 2010

Oh boy rose has changed! This is a dry rose but it still maintains the lollies and candyfloss that i associate with the traditional styles, it then transitions to a lip smacking dose of plums, spice and raspberries which all sit on a very good length palate.  The acidity brightens everything up, pointing to a food friendly wine desiring contemplation not slutty nation.
