Serrat Pinot Noir 2010

Serrat is a relatively new players on the wine circuit as the vineyards were only planted in 2001.  In this time they have made some great quality and unbelievable value wines. The team of Tom Carson and Nadege Sune must be fastidious in the vineyard as this this is a piece of artwork in bottle.

Serrat Pinot Noir 2010

I sat down after a huge day at work with a glass of this in one hand and a few olives to munch on in the other. As soon as the cherry coloured liquid touched my mouth a huge smile came over me. It's not really the lovely flavours of cherry and spicy plum that take me the most, it is the effortless flow over my tongue that is most intriguing.  Underneath the flavours there is an impeccable structure the demands your attention but it never seems to interfere with your enjoyment, it just adds to it.
