Now there are not too many Nebs from Australia that take my fancy as they mostly don't possess the structure that appeals to me.
Didi Wines Nebbiolo 2010
You do get a lot of bang for your buck here. As the wine starts out there are notes of dark plums mixed with rose petals before a warm clay pot falls on your head. The flavours are beautifully constructed and easy to like, especially since they seem to flow over you tongue like liquid gold. Effortlessly flowing! There is a mild tannic structure underneath but it just doesn't do it for me like the Italians. However, the length is very good to fantastic in a medium bodied style of wine that is definitely food friendly. This would have to be either the best or in the top two Nebs that I have tried from Australia.
