For 10 bucks this ticks a lot of boxes. Flavours Tick, Texture Tick and Down right drink-ability Tick. The wine starts out with a little lemon sherbet but quickly aromas of spicy timber floor and Chinese star jasmine join the team. Its a party wine with a groovy swagger of joyful fun that keeps on giving more flavours as a little orange rind and peach fuzz waltz into the picture. This wine is definitely a wine to be shared with friends or is that the advert for Yalumba just coming to mind? One of the best features of this wine is the flavours linger a good amount of time on my tongue and for the money this is a great introduction to what the variety can do. If I was going to recommend a food that would match this little number I wouldn't recommend sardines (sorry Max Allen) but rather a light bean salad.
