I haven't heard much about this winery; only that the wines are made by Brendon Keys and if this is anything to go by he is turning out some interesting gear.
BK Ma Fleur Chardonnay 2009
This little number, along with the Yalumba FDW[7c] and Michael Hall are an exercise in how regionality is interpreted, as they all come from the same block in Piccadilly Valley. What you get here is a bigger chardonnay with pine needles, pineapples, lemon meringue pie and a bitter edge coming through on the back palate. Some people would say this doesn’t lack flavour but could do with a bit of extra finesse.
