Spinifex Lola 2010

Spinifex crafts some brilliant blends from a variety of uniquely ancient vines from the Barossa. Why don't more people do this? God only knows!

Spinifex Lola 2010

It is great to see a white wine from the Barossa that is so good.  Layer upon layer of flavours such as lemon peel, spicy peach, hay and apricot kernel build as the wine opens up.  A waxy element adds interest while the vibrant acidity freshens up the back palate.  There are hints of richness yet I would say that in general it is a beautifully light wine, perfect for a meal with a hint of spice in it.  As the wine was slow to evolve I have no hesitation recommending this for a medium term cellaring proposition.
